Yinlvmei W1s High-End Windows 10 Portable Audio Player

Last year in September 2020, Yinlvmei released the world’s first Windows OS-based flagship audio player, the Yinlvmei W1. It featured a TOTL AK4499 DAC chipset with their custom-designed OPAmp architecture delivering impeccable performance and complete PC experience in a portable form factor. Today, Yinlvmei has released an upgraded variant for the W1, behold the brand new Yinlvmei W1s.

Key updates with the W1s over the OG W1 includes completely redesigned DAC architecture. Instead of the AKM flagship chip, the W1s adopts the flagship DAC chip from ESS Sabre Technologies(ES9038Pro). One of the key attractions of W1 was the replaceable battery design. It has got removed from the latest W1s, this is done in order to improve the aesthetics of the device with a thinner body. W1s still retains their self-designed dual battery design. It also has about 2-3 times better thrust in comparison to the original W1. The secondary display screen has also been replaced by an analog potentiometer volume wheel. W1s also features four-gain levels for better connectivity with sensitive as well as demanding headphones. Yinlvmei has also removed the standard USB ports, and all the USB ports are now Type-C.

A new addition to the W1s will be a 4.4mm balanced line-out port that was not present on the W1. Yinlvmei has also added a one-key lock physical button and reduced the internal storage from 128GB in W1 to 64GB in W1s. W1s still has three micro-SD card slots that support up to 1TB each. Yinlvmei W1s is available worldwide priced at 1999$.

Yinlvmei W1s is loaded with a genuine Windows 10 operating system. Users can install and run any media application that they run on their PC. It brings full support for Foobar2000, VLC Media Player, and countless other media applications. Yinlvmei W1s is the second portable/transportable music player that has Windows OS. First being its former model, the Yinlvmei W1.
