xDuoo Releases MT-601S Upgraded Tube+Class A Transistor Hybrid Headphone Amplifier
Last year xDuoo introduced its “MT” series of HiFi audio gear mainly focusing on the budget segment. They have released several different products in this series including the highly-acclaimed MT-601 and MT-602 tube+transistor-based headphone amplifiers. Today, they have introduced an update to the MT-601, bringing us the all-new xDuoo MT-601S. MT-601S mainly gets an upgrade on the pre-amp department. Instead of the 6N11/E88CC tubes from the OG MT-601, the new MT-601S comes equipped with new and improved ECC82/12AU7 tubes in the pre-amp stage. This simple upgrade alone takes the output performance to an all-new level with a richer tonality and smoother vocals. There is no price change with the new MT-601S, it is launched at the same 89$ price tag as the OG MT-601.
xDuoo has designed the MT-601S with 12AU7/ECC82 tube in the pre-amp stage. It brings richer vocals that instantly enhance your music-listening experience. In order to complement the rich tone of the Tube pre-amp, MT-601S features a transistor-based headphone amp with a Class A buffer. With Class A amplification, we get clean and powerful output that enables good pairing with most headphones out there.
MT-601S features a 6.35mm single-ended headphone output. The amp produces up to 200mW of clean output at 32Ω load. It supports headphones from 16Ω to 600Ω impedance ratings, driving them with ease. MT-601S similar to other devices in the series features a beautiful Grey shell and Red volume knob. Its outer shell is made using high-quality aluminum alloy material which not only provides a solid build but also protects the signal from external noise/signal interferences. xDuoo MT-601S adopts high-quality enthusiast-grade Japanese ELNA SILMIC(II) capacitors and RUBYCON capacitors for a smooth, warm, splendid sound performance. The official price of xDuoo MT-601S is set at 89$.
