SMSL VMV D1se2 is the world’s first DAC to feature the ES9039MS Pro DAC chipset, the latest flagship from ESS Sabre Technologies. The ES9039MS Pro has been optimized to deliver top-quality sound with ultra-low distortion and high SNR performance. It is a 32-Bit DAC implemented in an eight-channel parallel audio circuit on the D1se2. The Audio circuitry here consists of 11 high-end dual Opamps, premium Nichicon KG capacitors, and a CK-03 low-jitter clock processing circuit. The USB interface is handled by XMOS’s 3rd gen XU316 16-core USB chipset. It enables decoding for high-resolution PCM(up to 32bit/768kHz) and native DSD(up to DSD512) audio signals on the device. VMV D1se2 also supports full MQA decoding supporting both MQA and MQA-CD signals across USB, Optical, and Coaxial Inputs.
With the latest-generation Qualcomm Bluetooth processor chipset, the latest VMV D1se2 supports high-definition Bluetooth connectivity for signal input. It supports the latest Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with support for high-resolution codecs including LDAC, AptX HD, AptX, etc. In order to ensure top-quality sound performance with the VMV D1se2, SMSL has designed it with a linear power supply built into the system. It is made using a British NORA-TEL Toroidal transformer and ensures clean, precise performance with low interference in the audio signal.
