Shanling is among the top players in the HiFi Audio industry. They have a wide collection of HiFi audio gears ranging from premium USB DAC/AMPs to music players and in-ear monitors. Recently, Shanling has introduced its latest upcoming Portable USB DAC/AMP, the Shanling UA5. As the name suggests, the UA5 is the fifth-generation USB DAC/AMP in the famous “UA” series by Shanling. It is the world’s first portable compact USB Type-C DAC/AMP designed with an inbuilt battery. Shanling has updated the pricing information for the upcoming UA5, it will be launched in March this year priced at around 235$.

For unprecedented performance, Shanling has trusted the UA5 with dual ESS DAC chips. They have implemented a dual ES9038Q2M premium DAC chipset. The ES9038Q2M are highly-trusted DAC chips that have been featured in several other premium Hi-Res devices in the market. Shanling UA5 has a dedicated Ricore RE6863 amplifier chip that provides powerful and clean amplification. It supports both single-ended and balanced headphone connections(3.5mm SE+4.4mm Bal). With the balanced output, the Sea sling UA5 achieves 211mW of output power rating adequate enough to power most IEMs and HPs in the market.

Shanling UA5 offers a true Hi-Res Audio performance for the users with support for 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 decoding. Simply connect the Shanling UA5 to your smartphone, Windows PC, and other devices and enjoy the audio experience of a dedicated Hi-Res player.

Shanling UA5 features a special Hybrid Battery Power mode. When enabled, certain sections of UA5 will still be running on USB power, like USB Controller and FPGA. But the crucial parts of DAC and amplifier will instead use a cleaner power from the battery.
