Moondrop Variations Latest Tribrid IEMs Launched
Moondrop needs no introduction among the audiophiles. They are the leading manufacturers of HiFi in-ear monitors based in China with many successful IEMs such as the Blessing 2, S8, Aria, and many more. Today, the brand has released its latest tribrid pair of IEMs, the all-new Moondrop Variations. This is the first time Moondrop has brought us a tribrid IEM set previously it was just hybrids, Multi-BA, or single DD IEMs in their lineup. Variations is bringing us a rich driver configuration consisting of an LCP diaphragm DD unit paired with two BA units and two EST drivers.
Moondrop Variations is available to order today with an attractive price tag of 520$. Previously most of such tribrids and EST setups in IEMs were limited with TOTL 800$+ price range. But in recent times we have seen multiple pairs from famous brands such as DUNU, Thieaudio in the 500-600$ price segment. We are really excited to see how Moondrop Variations will compete in this segment. Going by the previous experience with their products(Aria, Starfields, Blessing 2, S8), we are having good thoughts for the Variations.

Powerful Tribrid Driver Configuration Designed With Perfection:-
EST drivers have been in the IEM industry for quite a while now. Moondrop themselves implemented it in their flagship Solis earphones. Taking that experience and combining it with deep research, Moondrop has designed a powerful five-driver tribrid configuration for the latest Variations. The pair features a powerful dynamic driver with a 10mm large LCP diaphragm that produces a powerful lower end. Two softears customized balanced armature drivers produce rich, smooth mid-frequencies. Two sonion EST drivers are there for detailed, energetic high-frequencies.
Moondrop VDSF Target Response:-
Moondrop has tuned Variations based on their famous VDSF target response frequency curve. Their famous Blessing 2 has also received a tuning based on their VDSF target response. With its powerful tribrid configuration, the pair provides refined high-resolution sound output with crisp detailing and natural tonality. The pair achieves less than 1% total harmonic distortion ensuring clean, distortion-free sound output with a pitch-dark noise-free background.
Consistent Full-Frequency Response:-
Moondrop Variations achieve a highly consistent full-frequency response with a 3D printed acoustic cavity. They have designed a 3D printed precision acoustic channel inside the earphones with damping material to achieve an ideal frequency response with phase indicators.
Monocrystalline Copper Cable With Swappable Termination Plugs:-
Moondrop Variations comeswith a high-purity PCC Coaxial Monocrystalline copper cable that adopts a coaxial structure with replaceable termination plugs. The package includes 3.5mm single-ended, 2.5mm balanced, and 4.4mm balanced termination plugs. The high-purity single-crystal copper material ensures a pure sound signal transmission with low internal resistance.
Medical-Grade Resin Material Shells:-
The cavity here in Variations is made using high-quality medical-grade resin material with the a high-precision 3D printing process. The cavities have sand-blasted and hand-polished stainless steel face panels that give an excellent texture and look to the pair.
