Moondrop has launched its latest entry-level IEMs, the Moondrop CHU. It’s an upgrade over the highly-successful Moondrop Spaceship with an all-new design, cavity structure, and driver upgrades. Moondrop is advertising this pair as an entry-level killer, suggesting us this could be the best Entry-Level set of IEMs so far. The pair is available in two different variants, one with an inline microphone and the other without. Moondrop CHU has got a pocket-friendly price of just 19.99$(non-mic), and 21.99$(Mic).

Moondrop CHU-1

Moondrop adopts a 10mm composite cavity dynamic driver with a titanium-plated diaphragm coil for the CHU. This driver has a high-power N52 neodymium magnetic circuit along with an ultra-thin CCAW voice coil and a composite cavity structure. Moondrop has got expertise in tuning single-dynamic drivers which is quite evident with their long list of successful IEMs in the market today. Following their own words, the Moondrop CHU has been tuned referring to the famous VDSF frequency curve. The pair will have a crisp, detailed sound with a wide and open soundstage. Well, if that’s true, we would say the pair is a bargain at its retail price.

Moondrop CHU-2

The ear shells here on the Moondrop CHU are made using melting and injection molding of high-quality metal alloys. Moondrop CHU looks simply beautiful and has a solid and robust build too. Pretty sure, the wearing comfort would be very good. A pretty solid attraction with the Moondrop CHU would be the stock ear tips. The pair comes with Moondrop Spring Tips as stock. We have found these ear tips very comfy(Used with the Moondrop Aria, Variations, and Kato).
