The latest Moondrop Dawn is a fully-balanced portable USB DAC/AMP that packs a powerful performance in a small footprint. Moondrop has featured a premium dual DAC chipset with two CS43131 DAC chips. The CS43131 is a high-performance 32-bit stereo audio signal decoding chip developed by Cirrus Logics. Moondrop Dawn supports high-resolution 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD256 signals with utmost precision and clarity.
After the signal decoding, comes the amplification. Moondrop Dawn here again houses a high-performance amplification chipset combined with a 4.4mm balanced headphone output. It provides super clean and powerful signal amplification achieving a power output rating of up to 230mW @ 32Ω of load. In line-out mode, Moondrop Dawn produces up to 4Vrms output power rating.
