Kinera’s Nanna has been a highly popular product and is considered one of their top-selling models. The Nanna is not only one of Kinera’s most well-known models, but it also serves as a sub-flagship product positioned just below the Baldr in their lineup. Recently, Kinera has collaborated with Z-Reviews to release an updated version of the Nanna – the Kinera Nanna 2.1 Z-Tune Edition. While the model retains its original driver configuration, it boasts new tuning, a redesigned shell, a different stock cable, and improved packaging. Essentially, the classic model has been given a fresh new look and sound. Kinerae has priced it at 949$, similar to the Nanna 2.0.

Kinera Nanna 2.1-1

The Kinera Nanna 2.1 houses a quad-driver tribrid driver configuration, which includes a customized 7mm dynamic driver, a high-performance balanced armature driver, and dual Sonion EST drivers. The key update in the 2.1 version is the new tuning profile, which was developed in collaboration with Zeos from Z-Reviews. After finding potential in the midrange and treble frequency response of the original Nanna, Zeos introduced a 3.5dB boost in the sub-bass frequency response of the Nanna 2.1. As a result, the Nanna 2.1 offers a more balanced sound with an enhanced sub-bass region. The improved sub-bass response provides fuller vocals and a better lower-end response.

Kinera Nanna 2.1-2

Nanna 2.1 Z-Tune edition also features a fresh new design for its ear shells. Kinera is well-known for its unique and stylish designs for its in-ear monitors, and the Nanna 2.1 is no exception. The new design is visually striking and livelier, adding a “wow” factor to the pair’s appearance. The right earpiece now showcases the Z-Reviews logo on its face cover, while the Kinera logo is on the left earpiece. The Nanna 2.1 Z-Tune edition is an excellent-looking set that catches the eye.

Kinera Nanna 2.1-3

Another major update with the Nanna 2.1 is the stock cable that comes bundled with the pair. Kinera has enhanced the quality of the cable by using high-purity 6N OCC+6N OCC Silver-plated wire in a new 2-core cable design. Additionally, the cable now features a swappable termination plug system, and the package includes 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm plugs. Overall, the Kinera Nanna 2.1 Z-Tune Edition offers an entirely fresh take on the classic IEM from Kinera, with exceptional details, an expansive soundstage, and Z-Review’s tuning profile that delivers a punchier and livelier lower end. The pair is priced at $949, and more information is available on the Kinera website.
