HiBy FC4: Latest Portable USB DAC/AMP With Dual Sabre DAC Chipset
HiBy has just announced its latest portable USB DAC/AMP, the HiBy FC4. FC4 fills the gap between the flagship FC5 and the entry-level FC3 models. It comes equipped with a premium dual DAC chipset housing two premium ESS Sabre DAC chips. HiBy has designed the FC4 with a professionally designed audio architecture that results in an impressive high-res audio performance. HiBy FC4 adopts dual independent crystal oscillators for improved audio signal decoding. It is launched officially for 89$. Considering the flagship FC5 comes at 159$, the FC4 has got great pricing.
HiBy FC4 houses two ES9218PC DAC chips that support high-resolution 32-Bit audio signals. HiBy FC4 supports decoding for high-resolution 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD256 signals. The DAC chips are supported by dual-independent crystal oscillator-based FPGA architecture. HiBy has equipped two independent 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz crystal oscillators that reduce the jitter and provides smooth signal decoding. HiBy FC4 provides class-leading performance with ultra-low THD+N ratings of 0.0006% and a high Signal To Noise Ratio of 123dB. Apart from Hi-Res PCM and DSD signals, HiBy FC4 also supports 8x MQA unfolding for studio-quality sound performance!!
As for headphone connections, HiBy FC4 supports both single-ended and balanced connections. It has a 3.5mm port for single-ended connections and a 4.4mm port for balanced connections. HiBy has featured a powerful amplification section on the FC4. It produces a best-in-class output power of up to 340mW@32Ω of load.
HiBy FC4 houses a multi-color RGB indicator light that glows into different colors depending on the bitrate of the active file. It glows into Green, Blue Magenta for MQA signals, Yellow, Aqua, and Orange for PCM signals(different bitrates), White for DSD signals, and Red when the music is paused.
