FiiO launched a few new products during its Autumn Launch Event 2021 today. They announced the highly-anticipated successor to the award-winning FA7 earphones, meet the brand new FiiO FA7S. It is launched worldwide at an attractive price of just 359.99$. Designed with a six Balanced Armature driver configuration like the flagship FA9, the latest FA7S packs a powerful performance with high-resolution clarity thanks to the high-quality Knowles Balanced Armature drivers. FiiO has arranged the drivers in a three-way frequency crossover with two drivers responding to each frequency segment. They have equipped premium Knowles drivers for low and high frequencies while Knowles developed a custom set of balanced armature drivers for a rich midrange with the FA7S.

Similar to other products by FiiO, the latest FA7S is designed with ultimate craftsmanship and detail. The pair simply looks magnificent with its premium hand-polished ear cavities. These cavities have FiiO’s latest 3rd-generation Industrial-grade design(like that with the “FD” series of single dynamic driver earphones). It’s actually very surprising as the “FD” series has only a single dynamic driver inside these compact cavities while the FA7S houses six BA drivers per side. The cavities are carved out of high-quality skin-friendly 316L stainless steel material using a powder metallurgy process. These cavities undergo a PVD electroplated coating for improved rigidity. Face covers add an extra hint of beauty to the already stunning earpieces. FiiO designed the face panels using a high-precision five-axis CNC machining process.

FA7S comes packed with a high-purity silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable as its stock cable. It consists of 8 strands of 19 wires each collectively making a 152 wire as a whole on the cable. Each wire here is individually isolated. They are braided together in a Litz pattern. The cable has environmental-friendly TPU outer sheathing for a soft feel and removes any microphonic issues. The cable has angled MMCX connectors for easy connectivity. It has swappable termination plugs with FiiO’s newly developed Twist-Lock technology.
